UNDP Growing Inclusive Markets case study
For anyone interested in the whole story of Hathay Bunano, UNDP – Growing Inclusive Markets, have written a substantial, 20 page, case study on the Hathay Bunano model. It was researched and written a few years ago but has only recently been published so some of the data is now a little old, however, the concepts remain as true as the day that Hathay Bunano started. As I read it in full this morning for the first time, my favourite quote is “The women are capable and have dignity” Samantha said, “they do not need our sympathy – simply they need economic opportunity.” Hathay Bunano is so truly summed up in that one quote.
