Making Flipps toys
Over the past few weeks some of our wonderful customers and retailers have been posting such lovely pictures of our Flipps bears onto Instagram. Its really great for us to see how you enjoy this little bear and so I thought it would be nice if I told you how he came to be.

He really is the simplest little bear. I used to knit these when I was just a child because its basically just a straight shape with no increasing and decreasing and all the things that make knitting complicated. When I started Pebble I thought it would be nice to bring back this little bear from my childhood. I made the first one for my children. One of the joys of this bear is that it is very lightly stuffed and so it is very floppy and that makes it so much more cuddly. When Zaki got hold of the new bear I’d made for him, he started to throw it in the air and watch as it came twirling back down. He loved the way it somersaulted in the air and just flopped about everywhere. It was Zaki who named it Flipps – because it would just flip so easily.

We are so delighted that you all love these little bears as much as we do.
