Dhaka Craft Bazaar

It was so nice at the weekend to be at the Dhaka Craft Bazaar at the Australian High Commission in Dhaka and organised by Prokritee (www.prokritee.com). The Bazaars are organised monthly for all the fair trade producers in Bangladesh and have been an eagerly awaited event each month. It is very kind of the Australian High Commissioner’s wife to allow the Bazaar to take place in their garden. It’s a great location in Gulshan and very easy for everyone to get to.

Over the past year the number of vendors has increased and was 33 this past week with some of them travelling many miles from outside Dhaka to attend. It’s a really great initiative of Prokritee and Pebble are very happy to be at the event regularly.
